Nicholas Holt is a British photographer, writer and Creative Director with a focus on people, place and nature.

He holds an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography and a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University of Arts, London.

Recipient of TPA/RPS Environmental Bursary award 2023.
Founding member of Collective 454, a group of environmentally-focused photographers.
Creative Director of The Dark Peak Photography Festival 2024.

He is founder of Far From, an online Journal with a focus on transformative experiences in nature (link coming soon)

His photography has been exhibited internationally at The Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition, Arles Open Walls, and the Groundwork Gallery, UK.

Magazine features include The Royal Photographic Society Journal, Source Magazine, SUITCASE Magazine, Geographical Magazine, JRNY Magazine and Echtrai Journal and Bradt Travel Club Magazine.

As a Creative Director, he has worked with brands such as Land Rover, Great Rail Journeys, Jaguar Cars, Bupa, Eurostar, Hoseasons, and Visit England. His experience at communication agencies and a love of adventure travel give him the ability to deliver photography projects in ‘difficult’ countries or challenging conditions for clients.

He is available for freelance photographic and writing commissions, editing and creative consultancy in the UK and worldwide.
